The Mondoshawans
In 1914 the Mondoshawans promised to deliver a ‘fifth element’ every few hundred years, to save the world. However, they soon realized they needed to deliver this weapon much sooner. Almost immediately, as it happened.
Their idea of the ultimate weapon is the random deposit of a sexy girl, some bandages and a loaded credit card, called a ‘multipass’, this being the only word she knows. So she was well received by the native population, partly because the card was accepted everywhere, partly because everything was ‘multipass’ but mostly because the bandages didn’t stick to her particularly well.

Leeloo
The girl, called Leeloo, immediately set about her duties, which involved many people, parties and cocaine, but this did not halt the invasion of the planet, so the Mondoshawans dropped off another Leeloo. The second weapon was soon distracted by the attentions of some men, and some girls, too, so with resignation the Mondoshawans dropped off a third Leeloo to save the planet.
By April 2016, the Mondoshawans had dropped off no less than 1,656 Leeloo girls and had to save the Earth themselves seven times. By this time some of the Leeloos had accidentally made more Leeloos, and now you’re likely to find a Leeloo almost anywhere, particularly in warmer places like nightclubs and the desert. It is for this reason that bandages are widely available in such places.
Multipass
When meeting a Leeloo, it is considered good manners to make out and bad manners to get the bandages dirty, so when you do meet her, chances are she will be having sex with someone standing up. The forward-thinking traveler may be adequately prepared to wait for some time in a queue, and possibly have on hand clean, spare bandages, this being a staple for any bondage enthusiast.
No matter how things work out, you’re guaranteed that such trivial matters as saving the world will not interfere with your Leeloo meeting, and that her impression of you will be multipass.
